Jesse Kahn, MD
artist bio: i first got serious about photography about 20 years ago taking a course on the basics at modesto junior college. my technical skills and equipment advanced considerably as i took several workshops from doug steakley. i photograph extensively during my travels with my wife, including africa, india, south america, southeast asia, mexico, and scenic america. i love to do macro work with the spring wildflowers and enjoy working birds and big mammals. i have, i believe, learned to enhance my photos in post processing, most recently with aperture 3, an apple product fairly similar to lightroom.
my background includes growing up in n.y.c., medical school at harvard and training in radiology at u.c.s.f. my career was spent in private practice in modesto and i have lived on the peninsula for 8 years. i have 2 daughters and 4 grandkids, with one of the families living in p.g. my other hobbies include bridge, golf, reading and crosswords. in addition to the foundation cameral club, i belong to independent photographers.
