Rick Verbanec has been a casual photographer for decades but began taking photographs more purposefully and developing skill at post processing in just the last few years. Local automobile events each year during car week on the Monterey Peninsula and the masterful settings on display each spring in Table Affair at the Conference Center of the Lodge at Pebble Beach have been a proving ground for his camera and photo display techniques.
Opportunities for development of landscape photography techniques have come from Banff and Jasper National Parks in Canada, Glacier and Yosemite National Parks in the US, Point Lobos State Natural Reserve, and the California Missions
Rick's first exhibited photo, Supermoon Over Bird Rock was accepted for display at the 2012 annual convention of the Photographic Society of America in San Francisco. Four other photos taken at Point Lobos were also selected for exhibition at the Carmel Art Institute gallery in 2012.
Rick and his wife, Sandi, live on the Monterey Peninsula.
